Manajemen Alokasi Waktu Pendidikan Jasmani (PE) Untuk Mempertahankan Kebugaran Siswa
Abstract
Berkembanganya teknologi memberikan banyak kemudahan bagi siswa. Namun sayangnya, kemudahan tersebut juga memiliki dampak negatif yang perlu dicegah dengan memainkan peran pendidikan jasmani yang memiliki ciri khusus aktivitas gerak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan solusi terkait kurang idealnya pengelolaan alokasi waktu dalam pendidikan jasmani yang dapat berdampak terhadap berbagai masalah kebugaran dan kesehatan akibat perilaku kurang gerak bagi siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka yang mengkaji berbagai literatur seperti jurnal, buku, website dan artikel ilmiah yang relevan. Kesimpulannya yaitu PE yang selama ini dilakukan 1 kali perminggu belum mampu mengatasi permasalahan kesehatan dan kebugaran peserta didik. Perlu adanya perbaikan program PE dengan pendistribusian alokasi waktu PE secara terukur agar dapat memberikan sumbangan dalam meningkatkan kebugaran dan perilaku hidup aktif. Indikasi rendahnya tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa dapat diakibatkan pelajaran PE yang tidak memperhatikan alokasi waktu. Pendistribusian alokasi waktu PE yang dilaksanakan 4 x seminggu dengan waktu 35 menit akan dapat memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan dibandingkan hanya 1 x seminggu dengan waktu 140 menit. Oleh karena itu, program kebugaran jasmani yang realistic pada kondisi ini perlu menjadi pertimbangan kebijakan pemerintah dalam memberikan alokasi waktu yang ideal pada PE. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, perlu intervensi dan pertimbangan pemerintah dengan memberikan kebijakan pendistribusian waktu yang dapat meningkatkan frekuensi dan intensitas aktivitas fisik pelajaran PE di sekolah. Perubahan pelaksanaan pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani dari 1 kali per minggu dengan waktu 3 x 45 menit atau 135 menit, menjadi 4 kali pertemuan per minggu dengan waktu 45 menit per tatap muka merupakan jalan keluar dari permasalahan kurangnya aktivitas fisik dan menurunnya tingkat kebugaran jasmani siswa. PE memiliki peran yang dapat dimainkan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan aktivitas fisik harian remaja yang direkomendasikan, serta berbagai manfaat kesehatan masyarakat lainya. Dengan demikian, diantara cara untuk mengurangi penyakit akibat kurang gerak bagi para siswa adalah dengan meningkatkan durasi pelajaran PE di sekolah pada semua jenjang pendidikan.
