Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study was to analyze the academic character, religious character, and discipline character in madrasas in MTsN 2 boarding school in Kediri. This research uses qualitative by designing case studies. The researcher acts as the main instrument (key instrument) in the data meeting. The results found that the boarding school program with Islamic education as its foundation made character education more monitored because all school activities were scheduled and monitored 24 hours. Learning applications easier to implement. In addition, character education will be better and more effective. The implementation of character education does not only take place in the dormitory, but also occurs between education in the hostel and activities in the school.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pendidikan karakter akademik, karakter religius, dan karakter kedisiplinan di madrasah berasrama (Islamic Boarding School) MTsN 2 Kota Kediri. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus. Peneliti bertindak sebagai instrumen utama (instrumen kunci) dalam pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa program boarding school dengan pendidikan Islam sebagai landasannya, menjadikan pendidikan karakter lebih terpantau karena semua kegiatan siswa telah terjadwal dan terpantau 24 jam. Aplikasi pembelajaran lebih mudah dilaksanakan. Selain itu, metodologi pendidikan karakter berupa keteladanan dan pengajaran akan lebih terarah dan efektif. Implementasi pendidikan karakter tidak hanya berlangsung di asrama saja, namun juga terjadi sinkronisasi antara pendidikan di asrama dan kegiatan di sekolah.
